PEA VARIETIES

DEBRECEN LIGHT GREEN (DEBRECENI VILÁGOSZÖLD)
Early ripening (A2) variety. The plant is 35-45 cm-s tall, with medium-green, slightly marbled, medium-sized leaves. The stipules are relatively large and intensely marbled.
It flowers at the same time as the Rhone variety. The first flowers appear on the 7th-8th node, it brings 1-2 flowers per node. The flowers are medium-sized.
The light-green, 8-10 cm pods have a straight shape with pointed ends. Each pod carries 8-10 light-green peas. The size of the seeds varies between 9-11 mm-s.
The ripe, dry seeds are shelling seeds, a thousand seeds weigh 240-280 grams.
Use: for garden cultivation

DEBRECEN DARK GREEN (DEBRECENI SÖTÉTZÖLD)
Semi-early ripening (B1) variety. The plant is 45-55 cm-s tall, its light-green leaves are smaller than the leaves of the Debrecen light-green variety. The stipules are moderately marbled. The height of the plant is not uniform. It flowers for a long time, the pods appear continuously.
It starts to flower 2-3 days later than the Debrecen light green and Rhone varieties, it flowers for a long time. The first flowers appear on the 9th-10th node, there are 1-2 flowers per node. The flowers are medium-sized.
The dark-green pods are curved, 7-8 cm-s long, with pointed ends. The peas are dark green. Each pod carries 7-8 peas of the size of 9-10 mm-s.
The ripe, dry seeds are shelling seeds, a thousand seeds weigh 200-250 grams.

DEBRECEN EARLY MARROWFAT (DEBRECENI KORAI VELŐ)
Early ripening (A2) variety. The plant is 40-45 cm-s tall, with medium-green, slightly marbled leaves. The leaves are narrower and have a lighter colour than the leaves of the Kelvedon variety. The stipules are medium-sized and intensely marbled (mottled).
It starts to flower 1-2 days earlier than the Rhone or the Debrecen light green varieties. The first flowers appear on the 7th-8th node, there are 1-2 flowers per node. The flowers are relatively large.
The pods are 9-10 cm-s long, dark green and slightly curved with pointed ends.
The peas inside the pods (8-9 seeds per pod) are dark green, their size varies between 9-11 mm.
The ripe, dry seeds are wrinkled marrowfat peas. A thousand seeds weigh 200-230 grams.

SOLARGREEN
Intermediate ripening (B2) variety. Height: 55-60 cm-s. The leaves are small and dark green.
The stipules are narrow and intensely marbled.
It flowers 3-4 days later than the Kelvedon variety, the flowers are small.
The first flowers appear on the 10th-11th node, there are two flowers per node.
The dark green pods are straight, 6-7 cm-s long, quite narrow, with blunt-pointed ends.
Each pod carries 6-7 peas. The peas are medium-green, their size is 8-9 mm-s.
The ripe, dry seeds are wrinkled marrowfat peas. A thousand seeds weigh 140-160 grams. Resistant to fusarium wilt.
Use: in canning-refrigerating industry

DEBRECEN BIRD-PEA (DEBRECENI GALAMBBORSÓ)
The 50-55 cm tall plants of a medium height are grown for birdseed.
Period of dry ripening: 74 days.
The ripe seeds are dark green, small, with a reliably uniform size below 5.5 mm-s.
A thousand seeds weigh 112-116 grams.
Resistant to fusarium wilt.
Productive.

METEOR (RAJNAI TÖRPE)
Ripening category A2, early variety.
The plant is 40-45 cm-s tall, with medium-green, slightly toothed leaves. The stipules are medium-sized and densely mottled.
It flowers early, after 54 days, the flowers are white. The first flowers appear on the 7th-8th node.
The pods are dark green, 7-8 cm-s long, with pointed ends. There are 1-2 pods per node.
Number of pods per plant: 5-6
The peas inside the pod are medium-dark green, most of them are 8-9 mm-s.
A thousand green seeds weigh 480-490 grams.
The dry seeds are round-shaped with a smooth surface, a thousand seeds weigh 200-220 grams. The ripening period of dry seeds is 86 days.
Susceptible to pathogenic agent fusarium oxysporum f. sp. pisi.

KELVEDON WONDER (KELVEDON CSODÁJA)
Ripening category B1, early variety. The plant is 45-60 cm-s tall, with dark green, slightly toothed leaves.
The stipules are medium-sized and moderately mottled.
It flowers early, after 57 days, the colour of the flowers varies between white and cream-coloured. The first flowers appear on the 8th-9th node.
The pods are medium-green, 7-8 cm-s long, with pointed ends. There are 1-2 pods per node.
Number of pods per plant: 5-6
Inside the pods the peas are medium-green, the size of the majority of the green seeds is 8-9 mm-s.
A thousand green seeds weigh 470-490 grams.
The dry seeds are cylindrical-shaped, with a wrinkled surface, a thousand seeds weigh 210-230 grams.
The ripening period of dry seeds is 88 days.

Ripening category C1, semi-late variety.
The plant is 65-110 cm-s tall, dark green, with medium-sized leaves.
The leaves are moderately toothed. The stipules are medium-sized and moderately mottled.
The plant flowers after 63-68 days, the flowers are white. The first flowers appear on the 11th-13th node.
The pods are dark green, 9-11 cm-s long, with pointed ends.
There are 1-2 or 2 pods per node. The number of pods per plant: 7-8.
Inside the pods the peas are medium-green, most of the seeds are 7-9 mm-s.
A thousand green peas weigh 380-400 grams.
The dry seeds are rhomboid-shaped, with a wrinkled surface, a thousand seeds weigh 170-190 grams.

The pods are medium-green, 9-10 cm-s long. The broad pods have blunt-pointed ends. There are 1 or 1-2 pods per node.
Number of pods per plant: 4-5
Inside the pods the peas are medium green, most of the seeds are 12-14 mm-s. A thousand green peas weigh 570-590 grams.
The dry seeds are large and irregularly shaped, with a wrinkled surface, a thousand seeds weigh 290-310 grams.
The ripening period of dry seeds is 99-110 days.

LINCOLN GREEN PEA (LINCOLN ZÖLDBORSÓ)
Ripening category C1, late variety. The plant is 60-70 cm-s tall.
The leaves are dark green, medium-sized.
It flowers at the same time as variety BR-52. The first flowers appear on the 13th-14th node, in pairs. Its flowering is slightly long-continued.
The pods are 9-10 cm-s long, slightly curved, dark green, with pointed ends.
Each pod carries 8-10 peas. The peas are medium-green and large, most of them have a diameter of 10 mm-s.
A thousand green peas weigh 520 grams.
The dry, ripe seeds are wrinkled, yellow-green marrowfat peas. A thousand dry peas weigh 230 grams.
Resistant to fusarium wilt.
